2009 Book Lover’s Challenge
Karl Rove’s fascinating essay in the Wall Street Journal a few days ago has inspired me. What better way to keep a resolution than to introduce a little competition? So this morning, I emailed 100 of my friends on Facebook and invited them to join me in the 2009 Book Lover’s Challenge.
The goal is to read the most books in 2009. My personal goal is 52, one a week. I’m kicking things off by Henry Kissinger’s Diplomacy. At 850 pages, it will take me a bit longer than a week to read it; but I’ll compensate with a few shorter books to get me back on track.
So what are you reading? Can you read more than me? Care to take the challenge?
