Vendor Profile: Propulsion Media Labs
This article is part of an occasion series that features some of the top talent and vendors that I choose for my clients. My goal is to promote their businesses to a wider audience within the advertising and public relations community. If you need the services they provide, I can’t recommend them enough.
Propulsion Media Labs
Propulsion Media Labs is one of the nation’s top commercial production houses. Located outside Philadelphia, Propulsion represents the 100 most qualified non-union voiceover talents in the country.
Over the past 15 years, I have worked exclusively with Propulsion (and its predecessor) for the radio, television, and voiceover needs of my clients. You can see and hear samples of our partnership by visiting my Television Portfolio and Radio Portfolio. Their work is spectacular, on time, and on budget.
I call them the Marine Corp because they just get the job done.
Corey Dissin, VP & General Manager
Corey Dissin (LinkedIn Profile) is the Vice President and General Manager of Propulsion Media Labs. He is responsible for new business development and creative direction, as well as the daily operation of the company.
He joined the company that evolved into Propulsion Media Labs while a student at Temple University. I met Corey because the television station I worked for at the time (WVTM-TV in Birmingham) used Paul Turner as our main voice over artist. Overtime Corey’s role expanded on the business side of the equation while he also produced promotional announcements for The Howard Stern Show when it was distributed via terrestrial radio.
Brian McDaniel: What services does Propulsion Media Labs offer?
Corey Dissin: Turnkey video production, audio production, voice-over talent casting and recording, web design, and on-camera talent casting.
BM: What sets Propulsion apart from your competition?
CD: We are a national company and regularly service clients in all 50 states. Our speed and ability to handle a high volume of work is also an asset; 400 projects a month would be considered average to slow.
BM: Who are some of your A-List clients?
CD: Comcast, Feld Entertainment, The Philadelphia 76ers, The Philadelphia Flyers, CNN, Bay News 9
BM: What cool project are you working on now?
CD: We just shot a ton of footage for a corporate video for a company called Crestron. It was a huge production, complete with 2 cameras, jib arm, dolly, on-camera talent, etc. We’ll be editing the project over the next couple of weeks.
BM: You guys must be good, President Obama endorses you!
CD: Brian, that’s just a very talented Obama impersonator.
