When Pigs Fly: Writing a Public Health Communication Plan
This evening I am presenting a lecture on Risk Communications and Public Information to students at Loyola University’s School of Continuing and Professional Education. The class, Public Health Emergency Planning (HEM 240), is part of Loyola’s Bachelors program in Healthcare Emergency Management.
Given the Swine Flu Pandemic (Presently, WHO has assigned a Risk Level 4), I gutted most of my original presentation to inject some topical relevancy. Overall, though, I believe this is a solid primer on how to prepare a public health communication plan.
