I had the fortunate opportunity to meet the long-time pastor of Mt. Zion while taking this photo. Rev. Craig Purchase asked me why I was interested in this sign. I told him it reminded me of a sign on the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham.

We chatted for about half-an-hour, and you can tell he is someone who cares deeply for people. In fact, he asked me one of the best questions I’ve ever been asked.

After showing him photos I had taken the day before, he asked me, “How are you using your talent?”

It’s a question I’ve rattled around in my head for weeks.
