Meet Brian
The art of looking for work has changed a lot in the past decade. Gone are the days when people submitted a resume, went on an interview, and accepted a new position. Finding work today is a job in itself. It is much more interactive, combining technology with good, old-fashioned shoe leather.
This website is part of my search. Since I want a position in corporate communications or public relations, I am applying my 20 years of experience and skills to the task. My mission is clear:
I blog as a way of demonstrating my ability to think and plan strategically, and to successfully manage those skills essential to effective organization communications, which could include internal communications, media relations, crisis communications and external relations.
Here you will find an interactive version of my resume, along with PDF versions in both chronological and competency-based formats. You can read my research, white papers, book reviews, and answers to questions posed on LinkedIn. I also have posted samples of my work in television and radio.
If you are an employer looking for an experienced communications professional who is extremely creative, understands the news cycle backward and forward, can deliver award-winning results under demanding deadlines, and has a sense of humor about it all; please click my contact page. I’d love to meet you.
My preference is to remain in the Greater Chicago area; however, I am willing to relocate in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, or Missouri. For the right opportunity, my wife and I would consider other areas.
